FAQ
Questions, answered.
The things people ask most before they bring their system to easiTrades.
Is easiTrades a robo-advisor? Does it tell me what to buy?
No. easiTrades has no opinion on what to trade. You define your own roster and your own rules; it simply watches the market and tells you when one of your rules has triggered. It's an execution-discipline engine, not a strategy or an advisor.
Does it trade for me?
Not by default. The core mode sends you a signal — ticker, action, shares, limit price — and you place the order at your broker. An optional auto-execution mode can place orders for you later, but it's off by default, opt-in per symbol, and starts in a paper account. You're always in control of whether the platform can act.
Is this financial advice?
No. easiTrades is a tool that runs rules you configure. It is not a broker-dealer or a registered investment adviser, and nothing it produces is investment, financial, tax, or legal advice. You're responsible for your own trading decisions. See our risk disclosure.
Which brokers and market data does it use?
The platform reads live market data to evaluate your rules and can connect to a brokerage API for the optional execution mode. It's built around widely used trading APIs; the roster of supported brokers will grow through the beta. You execute manually at whichever broker you already use if you'd rather not connect execution at all.
Is my API key safe?
Keys are encrypted at rest, scoped to your account only, never logged, and never shown in the UI. They're used to read prices and — only if you opt in — to place orders you've authorized. You can revoke them at your provider at any time; the platform falls back to signals-only. More detail on the security page.
What is "Exploring" mode?
A way to test a new symbol against your pattern without risking money. The engine runs your rules on that name and simulates the fills internally, then scores it on the metrics that actually matter for a hold-to-green system — max drawdown, time to recovery, and how often a position fails to recover. It tells you whether a name fits your method before you trade it live.
Do I have to use your exact rules?
No — that's the point. Every figure is a setting: opening lot, add lot, ladder step, position caps, exit offsets, capital guardrails, polling cadence. You set global defaults and override any of them per symbol. The defaults are sensible starting points, not a prescription.
Can I bring my trading history in?
Yes. You can import broker transaction exports to seed your positions and unlock analytics on how your system actually behaves — win rate, hold times, frozen capital, and more. Future fills can be bulk-imported the same way instead of typed one by one.
Can I use it from Claude or other tools?
Yes. Alongside the web dashboard and email, easiTrades exposes an MCP connector, so you can record fills, check positions, and act on signals directly from Claude. Two-way messaging over email, SMS and WhatsApp is on the roadmap.
How much does it cost?
It's free during the private beta for early-access members. Founder pricing will be announced before any charges begin, and early members get the best rate. See pricing.
Who is it for?
Self-directed, systematic traders who already trade by rules and want them enforced without babysitting the screen. If your method is discretionary and rarely repeats, this isn't the right tool. See use cases.
